Penistone Camera Club Funding

Earlier this year (2025) Penistone Camera Club made an application to secure funding for £940.00. This funding was to assist us with the rent of our meeting spaces and also to help us pay the visiting judges and speakers.

We regularly invite to external judges to our meetings to judge our club competitions (which we have across the year), and also visiting speakers, who we invite to share their insights and images and help us deliver a varied and interesting programme for our club members.

The funding application was made with the help of South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau SYFAB whom advised us on how and where to apply for funding.

They, SYFAB, advised us to apply through the South Yorkshire Community Funding SYCF and were very helpful in keeping us informed on the status of our application and how it was progressing.

Earlier this June (2025) we received notification that our application had been successful and we would receive the sum of £940.00 into our bank account within the coming weeks.

The funding was provided to us by the following Funding Groups:

• Barnsley Community Endowment Fund
• Great Barnsley Distribution from Grassroots Endowment Fund
• Community First Fund - South Yorkshire

Letters of thanks have been forwarded to SYCF to pass on to each of the funding groups, and also to SYFAB.

Penistone Camera Club Welcomes New Members

New members are made very welcome and we offer you the opportunity to come and meet us and share in club activities for 4 weeks free of charge. This will allow you to gain an insight into what we do as a club and to get to know some of us. If you're happy after that you are welcome to join the club as a full member.

There is an annual membership fee of £50/yr (April to March and new members are charged pro-rata based upon when they join the club). We also have a a nominal weekly charge of £1 which covers refreshments and is only paid when you attend a meeting.
