My thoughts and observations on the fun evening at Penistone Camera Club organised by the “Only Girls Allowed” Group.
Last Wednesday was practical night at the camera club. It was arranged by the Only Girls Allowed group, plus a few guest males. So we had a varied selection of set ups for members to try shooting.
These included an Iris in a vase with a black background, coloured drinking glasses and a vase to play around with in front of a light pad. There were also little men set in autumn fixtures and Blue Peter Paper abstracts on another table which drew attention as it was something different to try.
It was a great night of learning about the best camera settings to use for each set up.

Penistone Camera Club was established in 1967 by a group of people passionate about photography. One of the founder members Joe Windle enjoyed capturing the local area and landscape. Joe’s legacy lives on in the club with a trophy dedicated to him.
